A band from the future scraping the floor of a post apocalyptic society 6 BPM robutussin soaked harddrives. Played our first show and released a tape last week called "Dieger". I dumpstered a Vocoder and that gets used. Skip to the end when you can hear the landscape scanners and hover tanks assessing terrain. Nimby - Bottomfeeder CasteMarch 10, 2008 10:43 PM PDT

Despite mounting debt and a diet of almost only oatmeal and ramen noodles Louis and I keep doing te Infoshop and hall mall space. LAst night completely rejuvenated my momentum for all this shit and was totally the reason that i started it but had forgotten. raccoo-oo-oon blew the roof off my mind last night. this is my pocket mp3 player's recording of their first song. Power surge outering was WHAT THE FUCK? fog, vocoders, space helmets cameras and TVs, strobelights. I'll try and get some pictures. I played my set for the first time without fucking up. David Dunlap coninued his obscenety inquiry through a performance piece. Lichens @ picador feb, 9 1007

This'll be a live recording from 2/9/07 at the picador. Rhys Chatam played with Lichens and Local Evan Miller. I never heard Lichens and really liked it. Rhys was really great as well. It sound like some art school bullshit in theory but once they started playing I think i really started to get how intense minimalism can be. They played a final improv that was fucking amazing and i failed to record it. Massive clipping is going on during his set. This first post will be Rhys Chatham Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear

I payed fucking $10 to see dirty projectors. Not quite worth it. I like them but their recorded stuff is way better. After the first song the broke a string and a kid gets up and tells a joke, sort of. so bear with. Also grizzly bear fucking blows! totally riding the Animal Collective coat tails which a lot of bands are with their beach boys singing and listen to the drums total rip off artists. I left early cause grizzly bear was annoying me so their set is cut short in the recording. I could post the GB set but right now this is just the dirty projectors. Mail me if you want me to post it. It sounds better that the DP set. |
Podcast SummaryI am just realising how I have always been recording things from my parents fighting to bands playing. I am still not good at it, everything low-fi and overdriven but interesting hopefully. I just got a pocket mp3 recorder which clips a lot but is so easy to use.
